The Good Beer Show is the original beer related podcast on the internet. Every week, I drag my equipment down to one of the largest beer halls in the Midwest, the “Heorot” in Muncie Indiana and review micro, craft and imported beers. We feature Midwest music and most of the time the band joins us at the table for the fun. It might get a little out of hand at times but my friends and I have a blast. The Good Beer Show is also proud of receiving the 2005 People’s Choice Podcast Award for food and drink.]]>

<![CDATA[For Episode 85 we recorded right on the bar at Three Floyd's brewpub. Nick Floyd, the owner and brewer rolled out the red carpet and we had a wonderful time. We sampled Behemoth barleywine, Alpha Kong! and Oak-Aged Darklord. Pictures are here. Awesome Cool Dudes (pictured above) and Margot and the Nuclear So and Sos were the featured musical artists. The Save Awesome Cool Dudes website is here. You can also help out be buying a cd at the ACD website. JeffreyT simply loves the disk "Maxin´ and Relaxin´". Listeners need to hurry to get their coloring page submitted! There is only a few days left to vote for The Good Beer Show at podcastawards.com! You can vote every day til the polls close. <![CDATA[This episode of the GBS we sampled and talked about two new beers from Shmaltz Brewing. The first beer was Bittersweet Lenny's R.I.P.A. The second was Genesis 10:10. Tom interviewed Shmaltz's owner, Jeremy Cowan at a recent brewfest. As always, Jeremy has great things to say concerning the craft brew industry. This week's returning musical guests were Dustin, Josh and Boober from "Black Cloud Theory". Intro music is by Awesome Cool Dudes. Many more prizes were added to the GBS coloring contest. Hurry up. Time is running out.

Again we are joined by Kevin Cox and we talk about Trappist ales, particularly Orval. We sampled both the blue label and the green label. The green is the type consumed by the monks at the Orval monastary. We had two musical guests, "Harley Poe" from Kokomo, Indiana and "The Frauds" from Baltimore, Maryland. GBS theme song is by Awesome Cool Dudes. The coloring contest has been extended to August 12th and don't forget the 11th Annual Indiana Microbrewers Festival if you live near Indiana. We will be there.
